Swissquote, Switzerland’s biggest online bank, has reportedly launched its own cryptocurrency trading platform. According to the company, cryptocurrency trading is in high demand. “The crypto rush almost overwhelmed our compliance and customer support teams.”
Switzerland’s Largest Online Banking Bank Launches Its Own Cryptocurrency Trading platform
Swissquote, the largest online bank in Switzerland is said to be preparing its own cryptocurrency trading platform.
Jan De Schepper is chief sales and marketing executive at Swissquote. He told Finews.asia that his company will open its own cryptocurrency exchange before the end 2022.. He stated that Swissquote is striving to be “the most trusted provider of digital assets in Switzerland” and added:
We are looking to make it easier for traders to trade in cryptocurrencies via the platform.
The company plans to also add stablecoins to its portfolio of cryptocurrency offerings.
The Swiss bank supports 24 cryptocurrency: bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and XRP.
Swissquote has been expanding its workforce to meet the growing demand for cryptocurrency cryptocurrencies since spring last year. De Schepper stated that they will continue to hire to support further expansion.

The net income of the company from crypto investments rose by more than 1 ,000% to 63.2million Swiss francs during the first half 2021..
