5 New And Upcoming NFT Collections You Should Be Watching

The first quarter of 2022 has seen many hot new NFT collections already and there are even more to come. Let’s take an in-depth look at the top NFT projects that are set to make waves when they launch in the very near future.

1. VeeFriends Series 2 – the long-awaited follow up from Gary Vee

After months of teases, we are officially less than a week away from the beginning of the mint for the new VeeFriends NFT collection. To explain, the 12 and a half day presale for VeeFriends Series 2 begins on April 12th. The Friends List sale is the most important part the presale for Gary Vee NFT Collection. People were able to win Friends List spots through a raffle that took place on April 5th. To enter the raffle, you must have at least one Gary Vee’s Book Games token. Each token was equal to one entry.

What’s more, there was a total of 32,000 spots available from a pool of 120,000 Book Games tokens (minus the tokens Gary Vee owned). The rest of the 55,000 VeeFriends Series 2 NFTs are allocated thus:

10,255 new Series 2 NFTs will go to holders of the original VeeFriends NFT collection. Those holders will also be able to claim those NFTs starting on April 12. Then, 12 days later on April 24, a public sale for the remaining 10,000 available VeeFriends Series 2 NFTs will take place.

Given the massive success of the original VeeFriends NFTs, this new collection from Gary Vee is undoubtedly going to be one of the most hotly contested mints of the year.

2. The Possessed – A new NFT collection with blue-chip potential

Having garnered an immense Twitter following in a matter of months, and with not all that much information out, The Possessed is a new and upcoming NFT collection that is getting unbelievable hype in the NFT space.

The animated, standout artwork has certainly attracted a lot attention. Every day, thousands of people are trying to join the project’s presale list on Twitter. It has generated all the hype without any roadmap or Discord.

3. Sneaker Heads -An ultra-hyped New NFT collection from a renowned shoe designer

If the 127,000 followers for The Possessed seems impressive, then Sneaker Heads’ 211,000-strong following is on a different level. Similar to The Possessed but with a private Discord, Sneaker Heads remains a mystery. Although this is true, it’s possible that the upcoming NFT project has achieved top-tier hype due to its unique art and well-known creator.

Sneaker Heads has been busy distributing a few spots on its Twitter allowlist to lucky followers. It is also randomly inviting Discord users to its Discord server.

There may be no such thing as a sure thing in NFTs, but given its ridiculous Twitter performance and an aesthetic perfectly catering to many NFT enthusiasts, Sneaker Heads seems bound for an amazing launch when it happens.

4. The next Invisible Friends are the Imaginary Ones.

Although they are distinct projects with major artistic differences, it’s pretty much impossible to look at Imaginary Ones and not think of the Invisible Friends NFT collection.

Clearly, Imaginary Ones shares some commonalities with what was arguably the most hyped new NFT of the year so far. First, the formless, invisible bodies of NFT characters. There’s also the commonality in the walking animation of the two projects.

Imaginary Ones has a level of hype and pre-mint that is unmatched in any other NFT project. If the Twitter followers are any indication, it is a good start.

In fairness, its mind-blowing 446,000 Twitter followers are down to much more than a resemblance to Invisible Friends. This new NFT collection is the result of OFFSET, a veteran 3D animation studio. The client list of OFFSET includes many large global corporations.

All in all, if OFFSET’s work can be trusted by major corporations like Apple, McDonald’s and Spotify, Unilever and countless others, then it might also be trusted by the NFT industry. This is a team of experts!

5. Garbage Friends – new NFT collection from the Invisible Friends Artist

Last but not least, is Garbage Friends. This collection is very simple in terms of detail. It boasts an impressive 120,000 Twitter followers, but only three tweets – two of which are just memes. The second is a glimpse at what the NFT art might look like. That’s all. Why all the hype?

Well, Garbage Friends is a new NFT collection from Markus Magnusson of Invisible Friends. The projects are actually closely related. One Garbage Friends NFT will be issued for each Invisible Friend. Although the Invisible Friends website does note that there will be extra NFTs for non-holders.

There are many other exciting NFTs this year. These five NFTs are the most hyped.
