Bored Ape Restaurant Bored & Hungry, the First to Accept ApeCoin

Bored & Hungry was the world’s first Bored Ape restaurant. Now, Bored & Hungry will accept ApeCoin ($APE). The restaurant made it clear via Twitter hours before the grand opening in Long Beach, California on April 9, that it would accept $APE or $ETH.

Bored & Hungry taking away the stigma surrounding NFTs

Founded by renowned foodpreneurs Andy Nguyen and Kevin Seo, Bored & Hungry will be operating as a 90-day pop-up powered by Trill Burgers and Beleaf Burgers. Moreover, as a proud owner of Bored Ape Yacht Club #6184, Nguyen is using the Ape’s IP to create the restaurant’s brand.

Seeing the long lines of customers outside its premise, it’s safe to say that Nguyen’s approach is coming to fruition. Bored & Hungry founders have not stopped their efforts to launch NFTs. In fact, the duo will be launching Food Fighters Universe (FFU) NFT collection this May. It is the idea of creating the first NFT-backed restaurant group in the world and using Web 3 to solve problems in the food & drink industry.

Nonetheless, Bored & Hungry is not the first NFT restaurant. Instead, the honor belongs to Flyfish Club, the world’s first NFT restaurant founded by Gary Vee. We will see more stories like Bored & Hungry as NFT becomes more widely accepted in the months ahead.
